Apple Day and Harvest Fair The birthplace of William Shakespeare puts on this annual crafts fair. The event features numerous local agricultural activities such as cider making and pastry tastings.

Wells Festival of Literature Here you can mingle with your favorite authors. This event provides a meeting place for book fans and writers and features readings, lectures, and a book sale.
Remembrance Day Service and Parade The brave soldiers of both World Wars are remembered during this ceremony. The event is marked by a wreath laying ceremony by the Royal Family which is televised nation wide.
Sugarcraft and Cake Decorating Show This trade show provides visitors with everything they need to improve upon and expand their cake making skills. The event is held at the Birmingham National Exhibition Center and offers cake decorating demonstrations and workshops with supplies for sale.
The Magic of Christmas The Christmas season is in full swing during this festive event. Bring the entire family to the Birmingham Exhibition Centre to watch the many live shows and enjoy fairground rides. There are numerous market stalls help with Christmas shopping and of course Saint Nick is available to meet and greet.
Stonehaven Fireball Festival This odd festival is an annual tradition that can only be found in Stonehaven. The New Year is marked locals making their way through town while swinging balls of fire over their heads. The procession makes its way to the harbour where the fireballs are then tossed into the sea.
Cirque de Soleil Cirque de Soleil returns to London in style for another round of eye popping acrobatics. It is truly awe inspiring to see these marvelous performers mastering exercises in balance and skill. Dont try it at home, go see it live!
Exeter Festival of Winter Ales Sample over 35 winter ales at this festival held annually at the University of Exeter. Admission is under £5, and will include a new commemorative glass. Food is served throughout the day, and there is live entertainment at night. There is also pub related memorabilia available for sale at one vendor stands. A must visit for fans of winter ales.
Bloody Battles and Woeful Wars See the historical re-enactment of some freaky demonstrations of large powerful weapons that were used in the middle ages, including the worlds largest functioning catapult! Learn all about old methods and ways, from everything from battle, to the torture and treatment of enemies.
Jorvik Viking Festival If you have ever wanted to be a Viking, this is the place. See recreations of the Norse warriors get the better of the Saxons. The city of York will play host to over 100 events during this festival, all themed around Vikings. Fun for the whole family! |
